Welcome to JANUS BOOK, a small but passionate self publishing project based in Italy.
We create illustrated books, guidebooks, and other titles—mainly about nature—and make them available in paperback and Kindle format on Amazon.it.
All our books are published in Italian, with a clear and accessible language, perfect for both beginners and nature lovers looking for reliable yet beautiful content.
But Janus Book is more than just a name. It’s a tribute to a small publishing house called Janus, active in Bergamo until the late 1970s. That original Janus focused on books for children, novels, and educational resources for teachers. Today, we’re bringing that spirit back—with a fresh, independent approach.
What We Publish
Our main focus is on:
- Naturalistic books
- Illustrated vademecums
- Photo-based guides
- Books for curious minds of all ages
Some titles are practical, others are poetic. All are made with care and attention to detail, and always in the Italian language.
We’re a group of old friends with different skills and shared passions. We created Janus Book as a space where we could publish what matters to us—without external limits or compromises.

A Personal Touch
I personally take care of the publication process and often help write or edit the texts. Many of our books also include my own nature photography, taken during birdwatching trips or while exploring Italian landscapes. These images, like our stories, are authentic and meant to connect readers with the world around them.
